Hi...
We are coming over and will have 7 people at all times in a boat. We will be staying at Eastern Shores, MH and traveling around as far as Little Harbour and Green Turtle. What size boat would be suitable for that many people and what would be the minimum depth of water we could navigate in? We are familiar with the Sea of Abaco but haven't used a boat bigger than a 20'. If anyone out there has any advice it would be much appreciated!

When we stayed in MHH, we rented a 26' both times from Rich's Rental. We had 10 people the first time, and 6 people last year. I think we would still rent the big boat even if there were just 4 of us. It is very comfortable and stable when the weather changes....and it does change!
Most of the places on the back side of Easter Shore have deep water docks, and makes managing the boat very easy.

For where you are staying Richs Rentals 26 foot Parimount would be great. Rented it a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed with the fuel effecientcy for the size boat. No problems with draft but as always know your tides an watch the water colors and get Dodges Guide if you dont already have it. Have rented from them for years and no problems

You need at least a 22' or a 23'. The 26' from Rich's usually have seats at the bow, in front of the console, and the pair of captains chairs. (possibly a bench back by the engine?) Never any problems with boats. They will show you everything you need to know. If you are concerned about the water depth you can use the compass headings on the map of abaco that they provide. They are for deep draft boats.
