We are headed to Lubbers on 10/5 and the husband would like to do some fishing both a short way off shore and in the Sea of Abaco. Does anyone know if there is someone who rents fishing gear in the area? We could bring our own, but would rather not lug it from North Carolina! Your thoughts and suggestions are appreciated!!

We brought our own, along with all our own snorkle gear. They all went into one big bag together. There is nothing like having your own gear.

We stay on Lubbers every year and rent fishing gear from Lighthouse Marina in Hopetown. They have gear, bait, poles, etc. We bring our own snorkel gear, though. It is too hard to bring the tackle, etc. needed for fishing. He does bring his own spears, though. We just tape up the ends and wrap them in cardboard and check them. Wherre on Lubbers are you staying?

WaterWays on MOW rent fishing gear in addition to boats.

That is a lovely home. You will have a great trip. You are close to Tahiti Beach, and only a 7 minute boat trip into Hopetown. Don't forget to call out on your radio to Dee Albury at the Sunshine Shack. She just had a baby, but she is an amazing baker. Best Choc. Chip Banana Bread you will ever have. She lives on Lubbers and delivers to your rental home.
