In your vast travels, has anybody been to the Exuma Islands? How does it compare to the Abaco's? And last but not least, has anyone stayed at the Four Seasons in the Exumas?
Thanks!

the Exumas are very nice. The water (if you can believe it) is more clear, but in general it is more remote, and fewer people and things to do. The fishing is better and I think the diving is a bit better, basically more places to dive and snorkel. Keep in mind we sail on a lboat and we are not land based.

Johnrody, there have been a number of discussions about the Exumas on the board. If you do a search you should find quite a bit of info.

Be careful, though. There has been an outbreak of malaria in the Exumas, causing lots of cancellations at the Four Seasons. Read up on it, and prepare yourself accordingly.

The Exuma's are beautiful, though much more remote when compared to Abaco, once you leave Elizabeth harbour you're pretty much on your own, where in Abaco there are several inhabited cays. There are many small, uninhabited cays in Exuma, in fact there are very few inhabited ones. The beaches and water is as good as Abaco, if not better (Should I start ducking now??) For entertainment you have the Chat & Chill on Stocking Island, only accessable by boat, Eddies Edgwater and the Two Turtles in town, probably more places by now. Same friendly people, great place.

We loved it there, we rented a home on a deserted beach for a couple of weeks one year, then bareboated the next year for two weeks on a 43' houseboat...Awsome. We're heading to GT next, then it's back to Exuma for us.

US Vonage Phone - 203-389-3304 Very interesting. We loved Elbow Cay when we visited for the first time 2 weeks ago but we do like to explore other vacation spots and thought we'd try the Exuma's. If you don't mind, could you pm me where you stayed in the Exumas?
Thanks!
