the beauty is still here!!
so beautiful :p What will we all do when you go away for a few weeks??
how are the rest of the winged friends doing? are the birds coming back? keep the photos coming
I have seen Hummingbirds and saw one this morning sipping some nectar from some grapes that I had on a plate on my back deck! The Banana Quits love my back deck! I make sun tea and I had my container on my back deck and noticed they looked like they were trying to get the top off my container. So I thought maybe they were looking for water. So I had some Hummingbird nectar mix and put some in a bowl and they went crazy!!! I counted 30 out there at one time! I had to add another bowl and for two days I had to fill those bowls 4 times a day! Now they have slowed down and I have to be content to watch the 4 or 5 that still hang around for a treat. We have woodpeckers, mockingbirds, doves, and we have seen lots of pigeons. Its so nice to have their sweet music to wake me up every morning!

I always wonder, where do those little birds and butterflies go during a 100 mph wind? (As a matter of interest, I had a chickadee land on my palm this morning, four times, for sunflower seeds. (Or maybe there were four different chickadees!)(Obviously, am not in the Bahamas today!)
wonderful phota as always

I bet they were hungry, with most flowers and other sources of food blown away, birds like those can be hit hard by storms such as these. Sounds like flowers are starting to open again, so perhaps they are now finding food elsewhere. You have probably saved many a hummer's or banana quit's life, given them enough to hold on til more is available naturally.
