Haven't heard anything about condition of Dive Abaco, Keith, Melinda, Luke, how the dive boat did w/ Jeanne etc. I'm on my way to MH Nov 6 and hoping there will be a dive boat as planned for 11/8 - 11/12. I don't care if we have to hop aboard from any of the surviving docks. I'll take what I can get. Any help will be greatly apprecitated.

I have talked with and had E-mail from Keith and Melinda. The shop went down with the docks, the dive boat is fine in the boatyard, and they will be back in business soon. Keith retrieved most of the tanks from the water and they had taken most of the things out of the shop before Jeanne. The compressor needs rebuilding and they were shipping it to Ft. Lauderdale when I spoke with them last week. They plan to rent a room across the street at the Lofty Fig and operate out of it until the Conch Inn has rebuilt. Call them on the 800 number 800.247.5338 or e-mail them at dive@diveabaco.com (dive@diveabaco.com) They were planning to come over to Florida yesterday but check their messages and E-mail frequently.

thanks Gene. I'll try the 800 number right now. So far, I havent had any e-mail response; but that hasn't really surprised me. I was already a frequent visitor before and after Floyd, but didn't have a trip planned so close to the storm then.

My heart is filled with sorrow for the Abaco residents, and as a lifelong Fort Myers, FL resident I am feeling the same way about the "summer of '04".
