Hello to all, my beautiful new wife and I have just returned to the states from Hopetown. We were suppose to fly into MHH on Tues. the 28th. All flights were cancelled at the time and we had no way of getting in touch with anyone to find out the status of the islands. We were actually calling everyone who was coming to Hopetown for our wedding and telling them it was cancelled. After getting in touch with everyone lo and behold I received a satellite call from our good friends Richard and Monica Cook. Richard and Monica were very optomistic about us still getting married in Hopetown. After rebooking all our flights we flew into MHH on Thursday. One of the first things we noticed was how dilligently everyone was working to get their lives back to normal. Coming into the Hopetown Harbour although not as green as our previous visits but still beautiful in its own right. Most of our wedding party stayed at the Lodge and Tom and his staff could not have been anymore accomodating to our friends and family (thank you Tom and your staff!). Myself and Liz stayed at East Point (the same house we got engaged in the previous year). With a truck load of water and some gas to fire up the generator everything went smoothly. We stayed in Hopetown for 8 days and were amazed at how fast the vegetation has started to come back. Our wedding day,Saturday, October 2nd,was remarkable! We had the Reverend Vernon Malone perform our ceremony as well as buying our groceries and bread from him. Thank you Vernon for the beautiful job you did for us. We were glad and very fortunate that we were able to still have our wedding in Hopetown. Everyone from Miss Flowers in Marsh Harbour to our Hopetown friends Richard, Monica, Jamie, Lauren, Cameron, and Miss Margaret played a huge part in making our day very special. The people of the Abacos are truly a blessed group. Thank you for the memories that will last a life time.

Hello Liz and Mike. We were the honeymoon couple staying on the same floor as Paul and Fuzzy at the Lodge.

Congratulations to you two.

We were sorry to hear about Paul's friend. Please extend our condolences to him and a big hug from us.
