Subject: Re: Fwd: We're Doing Well
Hello, Toby
Thought you might want to hear that Abaco is doing well. The winds have been high all day on September 3 but damage to our knowledge has been minimal. The winds have been mostly from the east all day on September 3 as Frances approached Abaco. The hurricane stayed on the outside of the chain of The Bahamas but came inside the chain at Hole-in-the-Wall. That was god in that the islands were on the less intense side. By now the eye is headed to central Grand Bahama.
We have had strong winds all day, not much rain. But we have a great number of trees down. No electricity all day and no long distance phone service. But amazingly we have DSL and internet service.
We are so relieved that it did not hit Nassau as that could have been a disaster that would have affected all of us.
We have not had contact with anyone from Elbow Cay. This wind could have been very damaging to the beaches.

Kathy and Dave:
I don't know if you still have DSL, but if you do I just wanted to let you know I'm thinking about you and everyone else in Abaco right now. Get in touch when you can,

Hello Kathy and Dave -
You do not know me but perhaps could assist me. I have lost contact with
M-O-W due to no long distance, however, I hear local phone service is working sporatically. Would it be possible for you to call MOW for me to see how the Sammy and Arlene Albury Family is? Also, they seem to be the only ones that have possible radio contact with my boyfriend is is holed up on Dickie's Cay. Last word I heard was 28 hours ago and the last contact with my boyfriend was 36 hours ago. This storm seems to be lingering over the Abacos and I just wonder how long it will be for contact again.
Should you find the time with all you have to do, I would certainly appreciate a call to them. Sammy and Arlene's local # is 242-365-6058.
Thank you so ever much, Jane Ramsay jane@aynya.com 410-271-1311

Dear Dave & Kathy,
Hi, it's Roger and Susan Phillips. We left for the UK on Wednesday and left David, Robin and the 2 grands on Green Turtle. Would like to hear if you have any news as to how they are. Don't need to know about property, just the kids.
Best of luck, (my email is rp@oii.net)
Roger.

Hi Dave & Kathy,
This is my first time on this meassage board and I don't know if I'm doing it right, (as is usual). I am in UK and left David & Robin on the Cay with the 2 grands. Would love to hear to rp@oii.net if you could find out if they are OK. Molly;s telephone might be working at 365-4617.
Hope all is well with you and yours.
Roger

When is the newest Abaconian going to come online? The last one on the site is the August 15th issue. I live in the States and always look forward to getting it in the mail but I haven't received one in a over a month and I'm suffering from withdrawals.
