I received this e-mail from Gerry of Guana Seaside. I told her I would post a message for her and here are her own words.
************************************************** ******

You offered to post a message for me on the Board. I would like you to let
everyone know that Bob and I are fine. We have some decisions to make
especially as it relates to the Yellow House. We loved it, especially me,
and had thoughts of spending our winters there once we really retired. We
are struggling with the idea of rebuilding or simply throw in the towel and
just rent a spot for the winter months. As for the Inn the decision was an
easy one. We will do all the necessary repairs, get that little white inn
with the red roof up and running. In fact our little piece of Paradise will
be better than ever. How could we do otherwise ? We owe that to the many
many guests who love it there and are looking forward to returning. These
folks are more than just former guests they have become real friends. I
can't begin to list the number of these new friends who have contacted us
and offered help. They have offered to bring over supplies, to work in any
capacity we deemed necessary, to put up wall board, paint, clean up debris,
or just run errands. They have even offered $$$s. which I find most amazing.
Let them all know how very grateful we are but all we really need now is
their continued moral support, and their precious friendships. Our target
date for the new beginning is now December 1st.

Give them all our love and blessings and keep some for yourself and Sidney.

As Always,
Gerry

Thanks so much for posting the message from Gerri. I spoke to Bob yesterday. He is trying to call all those who have reservations in the next few months, to make sure that they all know that GSV is closed until December.
He sounded upbeat and positive.

Did the Figi family make it through the rough weather OK?
Tell them Abaco kitty is doing fine.
