Is it possible but not advisable to make the trip from Lubbers to GTC? we are renting a boat but was not sure if this was a trip we should try to make. If so what would be an estimate on the amount of time it would take.
Thanks!

Good day,
In fair weather it is an easy trip, and would take a couple of hours.
Many do this route every day, you are never out of sight of land - don't worry.

Check with your rental company. When we rented from a co. on GTC, they said that we were on our own should we break down out of their range. With our three kids on board, we really did not want to be left stranded.

We are renting from SeaHorse at Marsh Harbour and staying on Lubbers Quarters. Don't know if that would make a difference or not. We were wondering what would be in boating distance. We are only there a week so don't want to waste time on something that would not be worth. I have just read so much on here about GTC I think I would be disappointed if I couldn't get there.
About how long will it take to get to Guana Cay on Sunday for the big party? We have that on the list of to do things also. I think our list is now longer than our time!
Wreagle,
It is around 15 NM Lubbers to Guana Cay, 25 NM Lubbers to Green Turtle Cay.
Guana Cay is less than an hour at an easy cruise.

Getting to Guana from Lubbers is easy- about a 40 minute boat ride. Land is always in plain sight, and Nippers should not be missed. We go every year, stay on Lubbers, and make the trek up to Nippers. Easy, pretty ride. We usually leave our rental house around 10am, get to Guana and have a table set up by 11 at Nippers, then take a walk on the beach, swim in the pool and do some snorkeling so we are ready to chow when that pig is ready.
