Two more sleeps and my husband and I will be on Green Turtle. We have just finished packing and are very excited about our first visit to the Abacos.

We are staying at the Green Turtle resort and will have a Canadian flag on our golf cart..say hi if you see us or better yet buy us a Kalik. lol

I have just checked the weather for the week and everything looks great except Wednesday, the day we are flying in from Ft Lauderdale to Treasure with Yellow Air. The weather man is calling for thunderstorms, will our flight be cancelled or what? Does anyone have any experience with this? I would really appreciate your input but please no horror stories.

South Florida experiences thunderstorms / rain showers almost every afternoon. Unless it is a really big system, you will probably be fine. Weather tends to move quickly down there. Just relax and start working on island time- it will be great!

I am on the west coast of fl. in Naples and we are in our dry season,no thunderstorms, they say there is a cool front moving down, but no rain. We could really use it ,because of fires starting. You should be fine.

The thunderstorms are typically small isolated storms. It seems the smaller planes are able to go around them. One time we circled the cays while waiting for a storm to move across the Treasure Cay airport.
