Many of you that are frequent visitors to Guana Cay will remember the old road to High Rocks and this is the area where you would walk from your golf carts to get to the beach. Quite a change since Jeanne!

Pat, did the pavillion survive?

It survived...kinda! The sun deck is gone and there are steps but they are kinda hard to get up to!

Hi Pat and Erin,
Thank you for the pictures and timely information. It has allowed me and others to understand the damage and hardships without bothering those that have so much to do. We recently purchased the undeveloped beachfront between Nipper's and the schoolhouse road. My wife, Ellen, and I met many of the wonderful people on Great Guana Cay during our last visit in March. We look forward to becoming part of such a great community. We hope to start building early next year. How did the beach and dunes fare? The beach by Nipper's looked normal (pre-Floyd) but obviously there was erosion at the high rocks dune. In particular, how is the dune next to the school road on the beach? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again,
Grant

Hi Pat,
I meant to address to Pat and Tami but can't find the edit button. I guess it expired. I thought Tami might be monitoring the board from Nassau. Also, the Nipper's beach looked pre-Frances. I understand the beach widened about 50ft. after Frances.
Thanks much,
Grant
