Long Island, Bahamas

I know Long Island is not part of the Abaco islands, but just wondering if anyone has been and if the temperature is warmer than the abacos. We've been to GTC 5 times during Feb. and it can be a bit chilly. We are thinking of going next Feb. to Long Island thanks.

Hi; You really have to get down into the Caribbean to be out of the range of the winter cold fronts. They would be moderated some by being further south. I have not been to Long Island since 1989. It was then a very "out island". IMHO if you find accomodations that suit you give it a try if you like "quietude".
