With even more troubles from Jeanne, any word from Government re lifting of duty or easing of work permits to speed recovery?

I was told by my insurance agent in Marsh Harbour today that the duty relief is on through November. Has anyone else been informed of this and do we have any official documentation of this?

I returned from a one day visit to Green Turtle Cay Saturday. The duty relief this time will be much more stringent than after Floyd. You need to get an application form from your local Administrator. If you have a Bahamian contact they can get one and fax it to you if they are able. I just received one; there are two forms both headed "Disaster Relief Committee". One provides for a detailed inventory of lost/damaged items which are individually approved/disapprove by the Disaster Relief Official; the second is a summary sheet containing the application again requiring certification by the Adminstrator/Disaster Relief Official.
