The first pix was taken last night from Nippers deck. The second is at High Rock at Orchid bay on Guana Cay.

Thanks so much for the beautiful pictures. I always look forward to your postings because of them. Really enjoyed the one from Nippers, as I miss my daily dose of the view via the webcam! I have only visited your island once but hope to return again this summer. Wishing you all the best during this difficult time.

how great to see that nippers sand dune held a bit, and the itty bitty sea oats are still blowing in the wind :p
having nippers up and running will help to bring some spirit, people and $$$ back to guana quickly

Thanks for the great pictures…. The sunset is great.

Lets all remember each little Indian earns one feather at a time until they become a chief. Before no time all the palms will be chiefs once again.

Our thanks to all the great people of Abaco for their strength and hard work. You all are truly amazing. Our thoughts and prayers are will you all.

To Karen at Abaco Vacation. Today Oii has their internet service so I am in their office. My internet service will not be on for a while. You can now email me and I can get messages using Oii's service at their office. We attempted to reopen our car rental office at the MH airport however our building does not have any electric power. We will have it open anyway starting tommorrow(Monday)
We have electric power at our house on Pelican shores and it has remained on for the last 24 hours. This has been a very tiring week. The downtown business are trying to get things reopened. Many business set up table or pallets or whatever they could outside their buildings and had flea market sales to sell off some of their damaged merchandise.
On friday the banks were open but you just have to have a little patience because lines were long. Every Child Counts school does not have power. They school is on the same transformer as our down town car rental building. There is a problem with the wires on that transformer. My son attends Agape Christian School and that school does have electricity and they started school last Wednesday. Shell Gas Station in Marsh Harbour is now pumping gasoline, diesel and Kerosence.

Hi there johnnycake,

Thanks for the update and I am sure we will hear moe about progress when Cliff gets back home today. Our prayers are with you all in the islands and may Jesus daily give you strength to face it with a smile and thankfulness. God is good all the time, all the time, God is good.
Much love to all my family, cousins and friends at Marsh Harbour and Man O War.

Love to all,

Beryl

Mont posted a pretty comprehensive explanation of how to post a picture when the new Board came about. Here it is:

cherokee for me

Just wanted to say that I went to Cherokee, Sept. 9-19. Made repairs to my mothers home there. Came home and a week later, Jeanne hit with her fury. Have talked to Jennifer and Trevor Sawyer, and Donna and Derik Weatherford. Deriks mother had damage to her home, but not too bad. Cherokee is said to be a mess. Am going back over in Nov. to do more repairs, and see my Cherokee family. The place to be is CHEROKEE!!!
