There has been alot of discussion about bringing alcohol into the Bahamas but what are the rules for bringing it back to the US? I would like to bring some beer back for some friends and didn't know if it was possible.
Thanks and we are down to 83 days!! (not that we are anxious)

You can bring a specific amount of alcohol back per person but for exact amounts, I'd look on the US Customs web site (I think it's 1.5 liters/person but not sure). We normally bring back 2 or 3 bottles of Ricardo Rum (Coconut flavored) per person and Customs has never stopped us. Don't know how the quantities translate into number of beers but I'm sure that someone on the board can do the conversion.

There is no pint bring beer back. It is way over priced and all but the 7% alcohol Guiness can be bought in the US for less than half the cost. Kalik is sold in super markets in Florida now and is just as good as it is in the Bahamas. If I were you I would bring rum or scotch back.

Kalik Gold is not sold in the U .S. We have brought a few bottles back for friends here from time to time.

Yeah your right. I stay away from that stuff. I few too many Golds and you may wake up on another island with no idea how you got there.

Before the Bahamian Government either banned or duty-killed it, I brought back a case of the non-export Becks in the clear bottles. No problem, except humping it on/off the plane and through various airports.
Best bet is to check with TSS on the way in.

2 cases of beer per person is the limit to bring back to the US but i don't know if the two liters of alcohol go with it or is it one or the other.Try to leave this one on Moderator!
