Pictures from Marsh Harbour

I just returned from Marsh Harbour and have several pictures. I'll try to post a couple to see if I can get it to work. There is MAJOR damage in Marsh Harbour, Hope Town and Man O War. Man O War seemed to fair the best. Longs Landing, Port O Call, Harbour View, Mangoes and the Conch Inn all destroyed. Marsh Harbour Marina seemed to come through pretty good. The dock at Hope Town Lodge destroyed. Harbour Edge major damage, dock uplifted. Flood damage was the major factor in this storm. The barge on the left side is taking out what was left of Harbour View.

Wow...did you happen to see if the Lofty Fig was operating?

No I didn't notice if the Lofty Fig was operating. I doubt it. I talked with the owner of the Conch Inn and they had two to three feet of water in the rooms.

Any idea how the Abaco Beach Resort Marina did?

I didn't see Boat Harbour but I heard there was no major damage.

Where did they put all of the Boats.
I remember the slips were full.

Mangoes Restaurants outside got pretty badly damaged, they were closed for their vacation.The marina is destroyed.
Boat Harbour got through Jeanne very well. Heard that all the boats there are okay or with minor damage. Jib room marina got out good too. Most boats went after the storm too those both marinas,some sank or ended up on the front decking of Sappodillys.
MH boatyard seem not be able to take any more boats. They got hit in Frances.

Capt Jacks is supposed to open this week. They supposedly only took a few inches of water . The boatyard did flood , but my husband is there and they had a crane and barge working today. He will be there until Sat. am so if you respond with a need I may be able to get the answer. We will be going back next week so we could find out then. Margaret

The Hope Town Lodge Dock and The Edge By chance did you take any other pictures of this area? We are in the process of purchasing Carissa Cottage which is just next to the vacant lot to the left of your picture, and are anxious if it had damage. Thanks, Nancy

Cap'n Jacks on Elbow did really good and very lucky compared to the rest but Mangoes took it a bit on the chin as most all the other businesses on that side.
