Received some info on the situation in the Grand Cay area. The situation is more then grim for the people at Grand Cay, as a lot of serious infrastructural damage has occured, which will take a long time to repair. At least they do have power (in the form of small generators).
I am not in a position to communicate something about the situation at adjacent cays, but the whole area needs some desperate help for an economic recovery (both short-term and long-term). If nothing happens, than this area could be depopulated, as the residents might come to the conclusion to move elsewhere, and then what? Would this be in the interest of the boaters going over to Abaco?
Unfortunately I do not have any info about Spanish Cay neither, but they were also very close to the center of the hurricane, and they had just recovered from other incidents.

We'd like any details you have on Grand Cay and Walkers Cay. Did any of the fishing boats survive? Rosies? Hotel on Walkers? We love the area and care about the people. Thanks.
Peg.

Wondering if you have any more information about the folks on Grand Cay. We would like to help in the recovery, and wonder what is need as of today. Does Rosie have docks to unload a large boat of supplies? Is the landing craft running yet? Any medical situations that need attention? Please let us know.

The information that I have as of this morning is:
Island Bay (Rosie's landing craft) is expected to arrive at the Port of Palm Beach today.
For docking facility look at the pictures in the link above.
It is difficult to answer all the other questions, as regrettably there is apparently no coordinating effort out there and as the phones are down, information is more than difficult to obtain unless someone flies out, and gets in touch with one of the leading persons out there.
Water is a problem as the power problem is not yet under control.

Do you know where they plan to dock? Did not see it at the port, cracker boy or Rivera Beach Marina this afternoon around 4:30PM.

Something went wrong with some information. Rosie's vessel "Island Bay" is operational, but is still at Grand Cay. Communications is more than difficult. will let you know as soon as I have some info.
