Just a reminder (especially for the ones that are disgruntled with the new format), you can tailor the appearance of the Board to your taste.
Click on "User CP" and then click on "Edit Options." As you can see, there are a few options. I would suggest that you at least change the chronological order from oldest to newest. I would suggest playing around with it and see which format you prefer.

I still prefer the old format......too bad new technology won't accomodate it....ken
Me too, Ken, but just like 8 track tapes, my Dodge Charger, and leaded gas, things change. I did some serious time hacking that old script and when it became clear it was no longer viable, hooked up with the developers of the new one to incorporate all I could.
My best to all that are dealing with this mess, I hope fall is featureless when it comes to weather. Personally, I can't wait to put on some black leather and put my bike under me at about 70.

Is it possible to set the options to threaded display with newest messages first? I can't seem to figure out how to do it.
Thanks

Click on "User CP" on the menu bar above the thread, then click on "Edit Options," then scroll down to "Thread Display Options," and look for the segment called "Thread Display Mode" which has a box where you can select "Linear Newest First." Voila! No more trying to find the last message you read on page 6 of a thread!

Yabut the best display, in my opinion, was the one allowed on the old board where first was first and all posts associated with an original post as well as the subpost responses were shown in sequence.
going to the first new post, rocks too. Just hover your mouse over the arrow and click on it. The old board definately rocked, and belongs in the internet museum hall of fame.

It works, but it doesn't show who is responding to a particular message in the thread. Thread works, but then you have to scroll endlessly to find the most recent posts.
Make it a Margarita this time please.....

Thanks to all of you who have made this board possible. It is such a great source of information. I went to a site that the people in Cayman Island use and I was surprised by the comments made. People were very rude to one another and not helpful at all. Thanks to everyone who is trying to help with information and being patient with all the inquires being made about people, places and things. It is a wonderful tool for those of us far away and out of range! Thanks!!

An easier, but less orthodox way is to click "Post REply" to thread, and then scroll down, and all the messages in that thread are organized in an easy to read format, with the newest first. I have been doing that whether or not I am actually going to "Reply".

While reading a post there is a second tool bar. Click on "Display Modes." Then click "Threaded Mode." Voila! You will see all posts listed in outline order according to who has responded to whom, with dates and times of posting. Unread posts have a little yellow box, and read posts show a blue box. It took me FOREVER to learn this new format. But now that I have, I love it!
