tODD

i was at the yard for a week following francis to clean up my catalina 27 coquette

it took almost a week to get any news after francis about boat yard.

if ur boat has a light blue bottom with the high tech fin keel, i recall seeing it on 8 jackstands all chained together closes to the AYS barn

it might even be in the lee of the barn when wind was frm north

like u i am hoping for any news about the roberts family and the boatyard.

thanks for opening a forum in the name of Abaco Yacht Services and maybe others will continue to post news as it comes in.

i can be reached directly at

I called Harbortown this morning and heard that while most boats that went over in Francis went down in Jeanne, Voyager was still standing after Jeanne. I hope you are lucky. What may have saved me this time was that when the put me back up they put the wing right on the ground rather than on a piece of wood. I know the wait time is agonizing. Good luck

THANKS TO RANDY RUSSEL I WAS ABLE TO GET SOME IN FORMATION ON MY CATAMARAN "ANDREAJOSIE" WHICH IS STORED AT AYS IN THE FIRST ROW FACING BLACK SOUND. ACCORDING TO CRYSTAL ROBERTS THE BOAT DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY EXTERIOR DAMAGE. CRYSTAL ESTIMATES THAT THE SURGE WASNT MUCH MORE THAN 1 TO 2 FEET IN THE YARD RANDY DID NOT SPEAK WITH CRYSTAL DIRECTILY, HE GOT THE INFORMATION THRU HIS SISTER WHO TALKED WITH CRYSTAL. WHEN I ASKED HIM ABOUT OTHER BOATS IN THE YARD HE SEEMED TO THINK THAT THEY FAIRED PRETTY WELL AND HE'S NOT AWARE OF ANY BOATS FALLING OVER.
OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH OUR FRIENDS ON GREEN TURTLE
I AM PLANING ON FLYING OVER TO GREEN TURTLE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.IF ANYONE WANTS TO GET IN TOUCH WITH ME PLEASE E-MAIL ME AT jakesiluk@aol.com OR CALL ME AT (954) 854-1087.

Any word on our 30 ft Salt Shaker "Cashed Out" would be extremely appreciated. It's a white center console with Black outboards. Thank you!

Hi; I am seeking info on our sailing Ketch Northern Sun which was near the fence by the road to the right of the main gate when facing the gate. During Frances, she suffered some damage to the bowsprit and forestay/furling. Also a couple of scrapes on the starboard side at the waterline and below as well as the Masts being "sand blasted" damaging the paint. We would like to know if she appears to have suffered any additional damage from Jeanne. We would appreciate knowing as soon as possible and are planning on arriving there Oct. 22nd. Also, hope to hear that all the yard personnel, are O.K. and if there is any idea when they will be able to communicate again. Our Email address is northern-sun@shaw.ca Thanks very much, Doug.

Was in the shipyard several times this week and Crystal said the following vessels sustained physical damage.
Captain Dexter
Confido
Tenbo
Good News
Other vessels may have sustained water damage and the yard is assessing.
