Anyone know about Dave McPhail and his wife in Leisure Lee? They rode out the last storm, and I am sure they stayed home for this one, too. Our prayers are with all on Abaco. Please let us know if we can help. Mike and Linda Hudson

Dave and Faye did indeed stay at their house and Dwight and Diane are in their home. I am not sure what other residents actually stayed in their homes. There is a post on a different thread stating that Dwight got a call out yesterday morning either before or around the time of the eye (9am) and that the water level was 2 feet above ground level. Ed is on a charter flight this morning from here in Nassau to Abaco and hopefully will be back on a charter this evening after assessing the damage and seeing what is needed. As there is no communication there as soon as he returns home I will post an update.

Dwight and Diana's son just talked to them and was told 32 inches of surge for a short period of time also stated damage was not extensive, Sounds promising!! Bless them all, Michelle

Thanks to Cindy and Michelle for the info on the McPhails and Dwight and Diane.I hope and pray that the damage was minimal. We loved staying at the Nutty Mermaid in May-Hope the storm surge did not damage the house or take away the beach that the last hurricane brought. Please let us know if there is anything we can do here from Virginia. We are keeping all in our prayers and that Ed does get in and out safely. Mike and Linda Hudson
