We do not see any damage reports at their site www.hopetownfirerescue.com (http://www.hopetownfirerescue.com)

What could be the problem?

After spending the day clicking on the refresh icon, we tried "F4" and that brought up the reports. Thanks.

I just recieved word from someone who flew over to MHH from NAS today (he called me after returning to Nassau).
He reports flying over Cherokee and seeing the tower on Marty & Wendy Sawyer's house and it also hit their Jeep.
It will probably be some time before power is restored on that street since the tower took down the lines & poles and it will take some heavy equipment to remove the tower section. A couple of the older homes had roofs off. A lot of coconut trees had blown over.
The good news is that everyone is OK - but very discouraged & tired of the mess.
He also reported a lot of damage to the Winding Bay project.
He was able to land a Marsh Harbour Airport and drive to Bahama Palm Shores.
The airport has some water on the end of the runway near the terminal and some water in the terminal but not as much water as they got from Frances. He expected that the water would recede in a few days.
In Bahama Palm Shores, he reported more beach gone and some additional roof damage as well as quite a lot of coconut trees down. But again, everyone is OK.
Marsh Harbour had a lot of water in the stores and when I asked what to bring, food was the answer. That situation has not been fully assesed - since most stores are closed today.

I just got another call from Cherokee.
Lots of damage to the older homes, lots of shingle and roof damage. The docks were all gone after Francis, so nothing new there. Saltwater was breaking in the yards of the homes along the creek.
Marty, Wendy, and Angus were home when the tower broke off and came thru their roof and smashed Wendy's truck, but they are all fine.
Little Harbour measured winds of 130+ doring the storm.
Batelco told the People in Cherokee that it could be months before phones will be back up.
The people of Cherokee have been hit bad by these two storms, and it will take years to recover.
Besides the damage to homes and property, many are crawfishermen who have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of traps, and have been forced to be in port since August. The loss of income on top of their damages has taken everything that some had.
No one was hurt in Cherokee, Casuarina, or Little Harbour.
If anyone has important messages for anyone in Cherokee, let me know and I will try to get the messages thru.
