Latest coordinates as of 800am Sat from NHC are 26.5 and 77.0 Winds 105 mph Moving W at 14. Pressure has increased to 963mb from 958mb which means storm is not intensifying currently.

The coordinates for lowest pressure are near the Hopetown, Marsh Harbour area with the northern eyewall much farther news. ABC MIAMI TV just showed live footage of the southern part of the eye right over Marsh Harbour. Only flooding reported so far and cosmetic damage. The eye is very large and stretches approx. from Marsh Harbour to Cooperstown area. Treasure Cay should be inside the middle of they eye for the next 2 hours or so and the backside of the storm has lots of rain and a good punch.

ZNS (Bahamian TV) phone call ins report some flooding there and in Marsh Harbour (about 3-4 feet). Sandy Point reports all ok at shelter.

Just got off the phone with my husbamnd. The eye is over TC now. BLUE sky!! To him this one seemed to be worse than the last inspite of much faster movement. We are on the first canal (Brigantine). The water came over much higher this time approx. 15ft. in over the sea wall. The rest the ususal: No power, no water, no electricity. Will keep you posted

Just got off the Satphone with Lee at Brigantine Bay Villas...

Blue skies, sunny, gentle breeze, but hazy in the middle of the eye.

Not as much debris, probably since Frances pulled most down. Rain not as significant this time either.

Apparently a storm surge did come over Treasure Cay from the North, or the beach side. Not as high as seen in Floyd. Water was ankle deep around Brigantine Road, but subsided just as the eye arrived.

No reports from the beach yet. Suspect they were hit hardest.

With tide dropping toward low and south winds ahead, worst should be over....:)

More to follow...

I spoke to may parents via satellite phone about 2.15 pm (saturday).
The eye was still over TC but the storm was about to pick up again.
They are weathering Jeanne in their lower unit Royal Palm (pink units at the end).
They reported very strong winds, satellite dish was torn off the the wall. They reported no significant water surge around them.
Part of brigantine drive was flooded.
They saw Betsy Bracey while the eye was over TC and she is doing fine.
They did report that a white boat half on the dock and on the lawn along the roayl palm side.

Hard to believe that Abaco has had two hurricanes in such a short period of time. We have been coming to T. C. since 1974 and are hoping for the safety of all our friends we have made over the years - any news of Cooperstown ? If any one sees them, please pass on our best wishes to Lerman (Big Mac), Donna, Florence, and David Sands and their families as well as everyone else riding out this hurricane.

When it becomes possible and safe, after all emergency issues have been cleared, I would appreciate knowing about impacts/damage out near the point of TC, including Windward Beach. I have no property or family out that way, but I have stayed out there several times.

We're still waiting to hear more details from TC. Here in Nassau on TV/radio there has also been very little info from TC, GTC and anything up north Abaco...except one phone caller to ZNS (Bahamian TV) from FoxTown who said roads were impassible in his area. Two or three reports from TC satellite phone owners are posted on this board, otherwise information is sparce.

PLEASE don't jump to any negative conclusions just because all communication lines seem to be down. I am confident that tomorrow morning we will get information out. Wind and rain all day must have made any communication very difficult or close to impossible.

There have been no injuries reported so far from any source in Abaco.

Nassau radio reported BEC (electricity corp) main Abaco power plant in Marsh Harbour had some roof damage and also some water damage....no further details were given.

As soon as we have a detailed report from the Resort, we will post it. Please be patient.

Where is Sinc?
He's probably overwhelmed. Can he report any direct info re. assessment of Treasure Cay or field reporters to do the same. (Certainly not weather channel reporters, that's a laugh)

On site for each of the homeowners Associations of Treasure Cay. Fortunately the board is still up. Yeah! Maybe he could use some onsite help to coordinate the reports. Any Treasure Cay volunteers?
How active are the T.C.B.O.A "Treasure Cay Homeowners Association" or any other homeowners Assoc. in Treasure? The umbrella should be the T.C.B.O.A as the leader to coordinate the coordinates? For anything that effect all homeowners...What are most questions during hurricanes? How's my Abaco friends, How's my place, How's your place? Universal questions looking for some credibility feedback. "NO MORE HURRICANES!!!

Our thanks to Coconuttelegraph and to Staggerlee and others for posting conditions at Treasure Cay. We are so thankful no one was injured, but saddened by the reports of damage and flooding. We hope anyone who has news, either general or specific, will post it here. Hundreds (maybe thousands) of us out here are without any means of communication and are anxious to piece together a picture of conditions. A discription of even one property tells us a little about the neighborhood. So, thanks everyone, and keep those messages coming!

So sorry that our friends in T.C. had to go through this again. We are all worried about you. Watching the board constantly to hear about how everyone made out.

Does anyone know how Mango House faired this time around? Its on the beach side at the corner of Treasure Cay Road and Windward. I heard its flooded down in that section. Do we have water in our front yard? How high is the water? We had some broken windows from Frances. Wondering how bad the damage is this time. Thanks to those of you who reported last time. Any kind of report this time around is welcome.

The FAA said earlier today that Treasure Cay Airport was still closed. However, a private pilot from Nassau confirmed that TC Airport is open today (Sunday) and Marsh Harbour Airport is only open for NEMA Flights (Bahamian National Emergency Management Administration).

Only satellite phones are working at this point from what I know. The brief report I received from resort management is:

- no injuries reported
- there is extensive flooding
- many power poles down
- resort has two generators up and running
- BEC staff were on site assessing the situation
- major clean-up and landscaping challenge
- resort administration/front desk: no damage
- shopping center: no major damage

More updates when I get more details.

Will fly in on a charter tomorrow (from Nassau).

Dear Gianna..............

I have on good account that Ocean Blvd is flooded and impassable at this time. That was as of earlier today. I am surprised that the water is still that high but it apparently is. As you might remember, Jayne and I owned the house next door that used to be the Robinson's.............not much left of it after Frances...............four concrete walls...........

Let me know if you have no luck reaching Peter soon as I have a friend down the street that should be able to check on him.........................good luck.............

I am trying to find out about my parents, sister and her husband. My mother emailed me on Friday to say that they would be going to Stafford Symonette's church for shelter. I have not heard any news since. Does anyone know how the church held up and how the Suncrest Villas at Treasure Cay did? I am trying to get an update on Jay and Betty Odom and Sacha and Tim Borders. Sunday Sept 26, afternoon TC time.
Back side of the storm was much worse then the initial part.
No injuries have been reported.
No major flooding has been reported in the Royal palm units.
In our lower unit we had significant water seeeping in from the windows frames during the second halh of the storm, several buckets were removed.
Water was also leaking from the celing therefore the upstairs unit must have water come in from somewhere, although all its windows were still in place after the storm.
Several of the docks have been uplifted.
At least one unit lost part of the storm shutters.
Landscape damage was very very significant.
Several of the roads are still flooded.

Good Morning folks,

Hope everyone is doing as well as expected. No Injuries!

I'm hoping to get some information concerning the Dive shop and my boat? Also the home I rent on Ocean Blvd, the blue two story home called "DASHA".

We were forced to leave after Frances past, as the home was damaged, now I'm wondering if and when I can return. I know the owner, Dave Kerr, is down there right now, do start repairs after Frances and was unaware that Jeanne was coming, and now this was his first Hurricane. If any see him, or James Sweeting from JIC Boat Rentals, my partner, or the people for the Causarinas house on Ocean blvd, please have them try to get in touch with me. Thanks to all and good luck, from the cold weather in Montreal, Canada.

Monday 2:30 pm Treasue Cay time:
Just briefly spoke to mom and dad via satellite phone-- bad connection
though.
It's raining alot now.
They drove to Marsh Harbour this morning, Betsy Bracey was with them.
Roads are pretty messy.
Stores in MH were open, but everyone is busy cleaning up the mess.
They saw a boat, on the road, across from Mangoes.

In Treasure Cay, yesterday they tried to drive down Ocean Blvd. to
check out on a few people, but couldn't get through because the road is flooded and there's electricity lines in the water, and transformers as well.

It's been raining all day which adds to the mess. He thinks it's worse than Floyd and Frances together. Traffic is possible between MH and TC, MH must look like a war zone, TC has many power poles down and he thinks it'll be much longer this time to restore electricity. He seems very exhausted. TC Ltd layed off the majority of their staff as a bonus to everyones misery...Needless to say how the people feel with all this going on. Let's all hope and pray for better days. He will call again tomorrow night.

Ray Pearlson is doing well. I spoke to him yesterday, Monday 27th. He seems to be the only one in Atlantis at the moment. Says the plastic cover for the roofs are gone, rain is coming into the upper units. He tries to get new material, but since the rain does not stop, nothing can be done really at the moment. Damage there is increasing. Concerning lower units: water was not coming too high over canal-seawall.But rain might cause enough damage upstairs to bring ceilings down downstairs. Condo Scheponick (8070) has one window broken in addition to former damage. Ray has ask us ( his direct neighbors) not to come before water and electricty is back. He can be reached on his Sat.phone.

Here is the message from Libba King via Craig Roberts:

extensive damage to the TC area and all of Abaco. Major flooding and damage in all parts of the island, No injuries reported.

Unility infrastructure, electricity and telephones, were hardest hit and may be down for several weeks. "Many of BEC's power poles were broken in half like toothpicks". according to Scott Spraker, "The damage is 3 times worse that of Frances"

Both Banyan Beach Club and Royal Poinciana Condos were heavily damaged and also flooded by the storm surge. However, no flooding from the sea at Bahama Beach Club due to the project's higher elevation

Many homes in the TC area flooded or heavily damaged, especially Ocean Blvd. Our home lost it's roof again.

Heavy rain again today -
