Glenn Laing was reelected in the Guana Cay election. Not sure of the exact numbers but I think it was safe to say it was a majority. I had placed myself in the election in the hopes that the government would allow Guana to have more than one seat on the Council. At this junction in our growth I thought we should have more representation on the board. The government did not agree and since we would only have one seat I was not going to run against Glenn. I had wanted to run WITH him not AGAINST him. There were a number of spoiled ballots and these were mainly people ( myself included ) that voted for all three candidates in an effort to let the powers that be know that Guana wants ( and deserves ) more members on the board . Glenn has had the interests of Guana at heart and has served us well for the past 6 years and is to be congratulated for his efforts in, what is essentially , a thankless job .

Congratulations to Glenn Laing

Congrats on your re-election Mr. Laing! Maybe fixing that broken laminator helped??;)

And good idea Troy in your attempts to get an additional seat. The wheels of change move slowly, but anything you can do to get their attention will help. Let's just hope they ARE paying attention....I wonder if they are sometimes!
