Does anybody have any updates about damage etc to Banyan beach or the TC area??

Yes..................at least two house on Ocean Blvd were in effect totally destroyed although for some reason you will not find that info on this board anywhere........I don't know why. I have been disappointed with the level of overall information on the board which has for the most part been sketchy and optimistic. I have yet to see any information at all posted about the homes on Ocean Blvd but I know for a fact they suffered damage, some of it very severe. Have not heard anything about Banyan Beach Club or the beach grille...............

My husband Fred just returned from TC and said there is some damage to Banyan Beach. I have not seen it but he said it was considerable.

Alot of damage. I went to Banyan Beach on Sunday afternoon- the day after the hurricane. My brother-in-law's best friend owns it. The owner was off the island so we went and checked it out as soon as we could for him. Alot of damage. There was an article about it in the paper...they are not too sure when they are reopening. Poor guy!

elslajaril, not a lot of folks in abaco have internet access or power or water yet, which is why the local on the spot news is a bit spotty. the rest of us are posting in from other islands that were better treated by frances, or from overseas. i'm still waiting to get specific word on a number of friends in the hope town area, the marsh harbour area, coopers town area of the island. as soon as folks are back online, they'll be able to offer more specific information.
