(there are 10 of us! All women!! (but we're no spring chickens, and altho some of us look pretty good for our age, don't expect teeny bikinis!!!) (sorry, guys)

We can't find a boat rental for only 1 day!!

We had an absolute blast last year!! The food was excellent, the drinks were top notch and the people and setting could not have been better. If you are anywhere in the Abaco's then, you need to get there. Unfortunately, we won't make it over until the 15th.

for a ride over, go on the cruiser's net, channel 68 at 8:15 am on the VHF and ask for rides - should be no problem

Well, you got me Cookie909. I have been lurking on this board for months and had to sign on just to offer 10 lovely ladies a ride to this party. I hope I can borrow some life preservers cause I only have five or six. I fly over this Sunday (6-19) and will be a Summerview cottage until July 2nd. My boat is in storage since we ran it over Memorial Day weekend from Boca Raton. We'll be passing GTC on the way to the party so maybe we can somehow hook up.

Got a plan on where we could all meet?

HI, We're coming to crew for friends during Regatta Time. Can anyone give me suggestions on (CHEAP) places to stay during the race on the various cays? We can't stay on the boat; skipper says too crowded. We don't require much; just bed and bath. Thanks for all your help! Any input on flying cheap from Ft. Lauderdale would be appreciated, too!

Wow, hate to say it, but this late in the game you may have a tough time finding either (cheap accomodations and flights from Ft. Lauderdale). This close to Regattas and the 4th of July, seats on flights will be tough to come by. Best bet will probably be one of the hotels in Marsh Harbour. Try Vintage or Florida Coastal Air for your flight. Good luck!

I just checked Bahamasair shows FLL to MHH for $159 R/T base price. Looks like seats are available.

Thanks for your replies; I ahve found the $159 airfare, it's the taxes that kill you - almost $70 per person!

Anyone done this regatta before and come without accommodations? Any chance of staying on someone else's boat, even just sleeping in the cockpit? Any information or experiences would be great!

Hi how's everything in Texas? Hope wonderful. Can't wait to see you.
Well we already here in the Bahamas..... well not in paradise but at the shipyard fixing Stranded for the Regatta.Actually she need some make-up. Lot's of repairs and painting going on , inside is a massive destruction. Completly destruction, no water , no nothing. So what do you say?? WHAT A HASSLE!!!!!
We are just luck enought to have some friends here who's offering some dinner so we are quite happy about that. We quit at 8 at night and puff, go eat and sleep, I'm ready to retire! Ah, ah, ah.....I'll post a picture also.
Tell me how's everything with you and George. Jim Trixie, helped us to move Stranded out of the dock last Wed. He's amazing. ALso I spoke with Beckie too. They went to MH and were trying to get your boat I think.
Well Bobb is flying till the 29 to get stuff for the party and I'll be here if you need ANYTHING our MIA-Bahama number (privacy please this is our HOT LINE! ) is 305-433-7726 (WE CAN'T GIVE CHEESEBURGER ON THE TELEPHONE PEOPLE!!!!!) just at Fiddle Cay on July 1st.

Hey Patricia!

Good to hear from you and know that things are happening there! Sounds like you have quite a project but you are the woman who can get things done - no doubt it will be ready by race week. What a shot of Stranded!!!

Arent' Jim and Becky wonderful?! (Sometimes I wonder about Jim . . . but Becky is always great. . .ha ha) Found the RTIA site and we are ready.

We have a pretty major repair project going on the Oh-Kay after last hurricane season. Hopefully, she will make it off the mooring this trip - but, if not - we have the big whaler and will just "commute" to all the events by Whaler - that is if Jim & Becky get it back from the repair shop!!!!!

I am glad someone is trying to keep Tim out of trouble. God only knows it is not easy. ;) Please tell Tim I saw Beerboy last night and that I'll see them at the Stranded Naked Party! My girlfriend and I will be bouncing around the Abacos for the week on my boat so we should finally get to meet.

By the way you have to check out this post on FloridaSportsman.com. Tim is going to KILL Beerboy for this one!:D It is really funny!!!!!

Hi everybody we just want to send a quick note to every friend, every person who made the Fiddle Cay Cheeseburger Beach Party 2005 a success. Again We had an absolute blast !! People were very nice, many more families attended, the weather cooperate, it was not too hot. Only a little rain in the morning and noooooo mosquitoes.

The people who attended were patient enough to wait a long time in the Cheeseburger line, drinks line, tattoos line, t-shirts line and with no complaints...This year we had very well behaved participants. We really appreciate every single person that helped produce this event. It would be very difficult to list every person's name here. You know who you are and over a thousand people enjoyed your efforts.

We hope to see you all again next year. Please tell your many friends and bring them to Fiddle Cay for the 2006 Cheeseburger Beach Party.
