Hi all,
Hope everyone is safe and dry after all the storms! Haven't bee on the site in a while. New format is very nice! Well done! Does anyone know how the Great Cistern Clubhouse fared during the storms? We've rented it for March 11, 2005. Would like some firsthand info. if anyone has anything. Thanks so much. Can't wait to get back!

Hi
The Great Cistern Clubhouse is my house. The new bermuda type roof we put on if a couple of years ago held up perfectly during the storm. The only damage we had is that one piece of soffit came loose letting in water and so the sheetrock came down in one section of a bedroom. Otherwise, everything is fine.
Best wishes for a good trip.

Hi Sam,
Great to hear the house, and more importantly, the owners are OK. Just got a reply from Jerry Melzer about his unit at the Bahama Beach Club which we rented on our first visit to Abaco in 2002. All is well there, too. Looking forward to a great visit. The house sounds absolutely wonderful. Can't wait to get there. Thanks for taking the time to post.

Sam,
We're told that the rental of the house includes the use of a car. Is this correct info, and if so, is the car an automatic? We do have an experienced left-sided drive coming along! My only driving on Abaco has been a golf cart at Treasure Cay! See you all soon.

Yes, we have a Jeep Cherokee with automatic transmission.

Hi Sam,
How is everyone doing? This is absolutely unbelievable! I'm not sure there is anything I can do from here in the midwest, but if you can think of anything, please let me know. I don't know a lot of people on Abaco (yet) but would be glad to relay messages, etc. Best wishes.
Karen
