Greetings to the fine spirits on this board.
My question: If I am meeting up with a sailboat in transit by Green Turtle, any recommendations on the most reliable way to make contact between Green Turtle and Palm Beach County, Florida. I have checked the posts-Cingular iffy and expensive. Any thoughts on the best way to use land lines? US phone cards work??

Thank you so much, kitkat

Batelco prepaid cell phones seem like the way to go. Last year I could not find a way to call my wife to let her know we landed safe because the batelco payphones were dead, yet I was sure that people were just surfing the web at high speed while I was looking for options and people were walking by me with cellphones pasted to their ears.

Batelco Office sells phone cards in GTC. Located by Roosters Rest at the top of the hill. I buy a $10.00 card and it works on their pay phone hone or anyone elses. I have used the local phones without a problem several times. I have also found some of the restaurants will let you use their phone too.
