What Happened to Clear Bottle Becks

Silly thread but I figured someone here might know the story:

Remember before Kalik the main local beer to buy was Clear Bottle Becks? What happened there? Did Kalik and the Bahamas Govt run Becks out? I sure loved that beer, good memories. Anyone know where to buy it today?

Oh, and no one seems to make a Goombay Smash like Miss Emily's Blue Bee Bar. Many other bars should be ashamed to call it by the same name.

I've been wondering the exact same thing for years; I figured same as you, that kalik got them tariffed to death or outright banned. I remember if you were you a local you knew to order a 'Cle'- French for key, which of course was the logo on the back of the bottle. Why French, I have no earthly idea, it's just how it was.... That's the rumor I heard...the Govt got Heiniken in there to build the Kalik plant. Then they tarriffed Becks outta there. Becks had a monopoly on the beer market back then...I'd say even more so than Kalik has now. When Kalik came out it was apparant they copied the clear bottle, and even the taste was somewhat similar. We used to buy cases of it and bring it back via boat it was so special. I'd still order it if I could...just for the old vibe and memories.
