Staying at the Treasure Cay Resort. Is it worth it to rent a golf cart?
Are there enough places that are not in walking distance but yet close enough that we wouldn't need to take a cab?
Also, can the same golf cart be used on the golf course or is a separate rental needed for that?
Thanks again.
I'm sure I'll have a whole lot more questions before my April trip!

I would rent a golf cart. I recommend Cash Carts. You can use the golf cart on the course as well.

Yeah, I would definitely rent a cart. If anything, it lets you explore farther than on foot. You can drive south about a mile and get to the far end of the beach. And in low tide, you can walk out pretty far. You can also get to a couple of the restaurants just north of the Resort, as long as your cart is fully charged.
We're going to Treasure Cay in 2 weeks. We reserved a cart through Cash's Carts. It's $245 per week.

I definitely would rent a golf cart. It is fun to take a drive early am to the point and check out the view and enjoy the beach there and in the evening to see sunsets and tour the area, and side roads. It is always one of our highlights of our trip and yes, you can use on the golf course. A definite yes!

Also while on TC don't forget to go to Western Night on Tuesday night at the Coco Beach Bar right on the beach and Pizza Night at the Tipsy bar on Thursday night. Two fun times. The steaks are great on Western Night as well as the grilled grouper.Just returned from a six week trip, as usual a great place to stay.

Bikes are also an option. We rented a golf cart for a day and ended up with bikes for the rest of our stay. They're cheaper (although that wasn't the deciding factor), and we had so much freedom. We took them everywhere, even to the ceramic shop. It was a sweaty ride in the August heat, but it's not like we had to suit up for work or anything.
Just wanted to throw that option out there.
PS Don't miss the 3.5 mile beach!

Go with the golf cart..more room.....4 wheels...beer and rum and beach accessories....and it's great to have the option at all times to jump in the cart and "explore". You'll enjoy greatly.

If your old or a bit unsteady for some other reason rent a cart to "explore". Otherwize I'd recommend a bike with a little basket. You can get every place you might want to go while getting a little exercize and does not require juice.
Why waste energy and money in a place where you've got nothing but time. You can walk to almost anyplace in T.C. in 20 minutes.
