View Full Version : Boat permit
After reading another post below, I am confused, go figure,. My question is as follows, we were in the Abacos last June, does this mean that all I need this year is visas for Diane and myself and dog permits? No $350.00 smackers!!! As long as it is less than a year!!

My understanding is that you are allowed 1 re-entry during the 1st 90 days of the permit. The 1-year term is for continuous use in The Bahamas.
Who says I left I am pretty low key:)

As long as your vessel stays in the Bahamas, your Cruising Permit is good for 1year.

During the 1 year that your cruising permit is in effect you are allowed to leave the Bahamas for 1, 90 day period, without having to apply/pay for another cruising permit when you return. There was a recent discussion about this on the SSCA ( Seven Seas Cruising Association) website.
