Customs and Immigration

I can't remember if you enter US immigration and customs at FLL when returning from Marsh Harbor or if this takes place in the Bahamas.
Can anyone tell me?

C&I happens in the U.S. Does not matter where you leave from (MH, TC, etc.). C&I is all in the U.S.

Flights to the US originating in Nassau and Freeport clear US customs in the Bahamas before boarding the plane.

Ahh that is where I thought you might clear customs in the Bahamas.
